Matthew 20:27-28 – “27And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your
slave28just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give
His life a ransom for many.”
The Heart Of A Servant
Having the heart of a servant is a key and core principle that Jesus gave us to live by.
He showed us how to serve, He taught us how to serve, and His life and His mission
was to serve “to give His life a ransom for many”.
The Apostle Paul writes in Romans 12:10-11 – 10Be kindly affectionate to one another
with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11not lagging in diligence,
fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
When we live as servants in the greatest Kingdom of all we are:
1. Willing to serve without a lot of recognition.
2. Willing to put ourselves aside for the sake of others.
3. Willing to do for others what they cannot do for themselves and expect
nothing in return.
Live in such a way that those who know you but don’t know God, will come to
know God because they know you.
